About the Hawai’i Autism Foundation

The Hawai’i Autism Foundation was established in 2007 by Julianne and Don King, with the mission of finding and funding treatments for autism. Their son Beau was diagnosed at age 3, and because there was limited support on O’ahu, they saw an opportunity to connect families and provide community. Now the Foundation is focused on shifting the understanding of ASD. Autistic people are so smart and want to be heard and part of the world.
