ASD Aquatics & Parent Support

Drowning is one of the leading causes of death for children with autism. HAF wants to make sure children are safe and confident in the water. ASD Aquatics & Parent Support is a 8-week collaborative course with the YMCA, developed for the whole family. Parents are provided weekly respite as they are taught self-care tools and engage in physical fitness activities within a peer-based support network. Children with autism and their siblings learn how to swim under the supervision of skills trainers and professional lifeguards. Cost: $125 Per Child – Financial Aid Available.
